Background

Tacy Prins Woodlief is a multimedia designer specializing in web, print, and branding design, as well as education and print production. They are motivated by learning and are skilled at mastering new tools and techniques. A recent graduate of UCLA’s department of Design & Media Arts, Tacy’s education covered a broad range of disciplines, including game design, generative art, unity development, video editing, motion graphics, web design, book design, branding, fabrication, and much more. Thanks to this varied education, they are very adaptable to new processes and ideas, and have a vast set of references and experience to draw from. They have particular interest in typography and type design, riso printing and diy publishing, electronic integration and product design, and CAD modeling and fabrication.

Tacy is passionate about sharing their skills with their community and loves to teach others about the tools they know best. They have led workshops on Risograph printing, and worked in positions requiring them to teach peers about print and binding logistics.

As a queer and trans femme person, Tacy knows the importance of creating community and advocating for our rights. They have been involved in intersectional queer activism from a young age, and are passionate about uplifting BIPOC voices and advocating for justice and self determination. In their own artistic practice, Tacy strives to use their work to advocate for what they believe is right. Outside of work, Tacy can be found climbing at a local gym, hiking, and cooking food from all over the world.
